Helló mindenkinek !! Mit lehet tenni? 2x2Gb ddr2 800 ram 32bit ubuntu és csak 3.2Gb ramot lát! ADATOK 945GCM478-L alaplap, 3.2Ghz intel pentium proci, Nvidia 7600Gt Graf PCI-E

Telepítsd a
linux-image-generic-paecsomagot, ami egy PAE (Physical Address Extension) támogatással rendelkező 32 bites kernel, 4 GB vagy több memóriával rendelkező gépekre.Szerintem nics 64 bites támogatásom(Alaplap CPU )mert nem enged ubuntu 64bites változatot telepiteni!
2.6.31-17-generic -et telepítettem de továbra sincs változás!!
Telepíts szerverhez való rendszermagot az megoldja a problémádat. Bár gyanítom, hogy mivel 32-bites alaplapról van szó így csak 3GB-t tud kezelni a fenmaradó 1GB-t a az alaplapi videokártyához rendeli.

Nálam ezt egy szerver rendszermag oldotta meg 32 bites rendszeren. Itt vannak az okok:

Mint Ulysses írta, nem sima 32 bites generic kell, hanem 32 bites pae. :)
A szerver jelölésű kernel lassan, de biztosan eltűnik, helyette lesz az egy mondatommal előbb is említett pae kernel. ;)

A korábban leírt PAE kernel telepítése megoldja a problémát. De újraindítás szükséges.

Oké, a kernel rendben. Itt kérném el a gép paramétereit. Processzor pontos típusa, alaplap kell leginkább. Illetve ha már itt tartunk a tápra is kíváncsi lennék. Leginkább a processzorra gyanakodnék, de a memóriával is lehet gond.

sudo lshw | grep paeparancs kimenete mit ad? Innen kiderül, hogy a processzor támogatja-e a PAE-t.Nekem is hasonló gondom van, bár 8.04-et használok. Próbálkoztam a szerver kernel feltelepítésével, de azután is csak 3GB-ot látott a 4 GB-ból.

Úgy tűnik, hogy a processzor támogatja. Nekem is hasonló a kimenet. Sajnos több ötletem nincs, hátha valakinek lesz.
Hát köszi! De remélem akad azért megoldás!!!!
Pontosan le írnád hogy csináljam! Telepítettem terminálból synaptic-ból újra is indítottam hol szúrhatom el? 2.6.31-17-generic-pae ez van most fenn! De probáltam az ezelötti verziokat is!
