I am glad to introduce the latest project of the Hungarian Ubuntu LoCo, the Ubuntu Education Project. The Hungarian Ubuntu Education Project aims to create a free Ubuntu e-learning course using the Ilias Open Source Learning Management System. The project is available at edu.ubuntu.hu. The portal has been publicly available for testing since the 29th of April, the release day of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, and was officialy announced on the 6th of May. The material of edu.ubuntu.hu is a complete guide of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, and is freely available under the CC-BY-SA license. The next goal of the project is to create an OpenOffice.org course.
The leader of the Hungarian Ubuntu Education Project is Hajnalka Horváth. She is an English and IT teacher trainee at ELTE University, Budapest. The project is sponsored by the FSF.hu Foundation (not to be confused with the Free Software Foundation).
