"Will Fedora 9 be a good release after all?
It's not an April's fool, but Download Squad's Ian was asking the same thing about Ubuntu, yesterday: Ubuntu Hardy: The latest and greatest or a total mess? While he is kinda wrong in some aspects, I nevertheless agree that the distros to be released this end-April are still too buggy, as all of them (Mandriva, Ubuntu, Fedora) are including quite an amount of radical and disruptive improvements.
Should you ask an opinion only based on a feeling, I feel that we should blame the latest kernels, the latest GNOME, the latest X server, plus PulseAudio, for most of the inconveniences. How about the latest and greatest software being tremendously interesting, yet unstable and buggy as a feature?..."
