Hát igen, január óta eltellt egy kis idő. Addig is kénytelen voltam 800x600 ban "ubuntuzni". De most megtaláltam a megoldást, kemény hét hónap eltelltével. Hál' istennek sikerült megoldani a gondot, az ubuntu.hu fórumozói segítőkész közreműködésével.
Ha bárkinek a fent leírtakkal egyező/hasonló felszereltégű géppel ilyen baja lenne, akkor annak itt a megoldás, hátha másnak is jól jöhet:
Terminálból: sudo gedit, majd előszedni az xorg.conf -ot, majd bemásolni ezt a helyére:
