    zopa57 Első körben bontsd ki a két deb szöveget tartalmazó csomagot, és nézd meg mi van benne (az rpm és a source tarball nem fog neked kelleni), valszeg van benne egy telepítőszkript a deb csomagok mellett.

    Én innen húztam le az archívumot: https://printerdrivers.com/canon-pixma-mg2550-driver/#get-the-driver-file
    a „ScanGear MP for Linux – debian Packagearchive” melletti „Download” gombot megnyomva.
    A kicsomagolt scangearmp-mg2500series-2.20-1-deb könyvtárban van install.sh fájl, itt a tartalma:

    Ezt is el lehetne indítani, illetve a packages könyvtárban lévő
    scangearmp-common_2.20-1_amd64.deb fájl simán felment volna GDebivel LMDE 6 rendszerre, legalábbis függőséget nem hiányolt. A scangearmp-mg2500series_2.20-1_amd64.deb-nek kell a scangearmp-common, szóval azzal nem tudtam tovább nyomozni, hiszen tovább nem mentem, mert nincs ilyen nyomtatóm.
